Ill be at calga on the 6th May for the RR. Will probably stay up the coast at the holiday house and do the TT on sunday on the way home.
tempted to have a hit out there next weekend as well, but dont want to compromise myself for WSMTB XC on sunday. |

http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=190961 Most of the groups are organized through high-end shops. What side of town are you on? there's also this sub-forum: http://www.cyclingforums.com/f126-au...w-zealand.html (check out the thread about rides leaving from Kennedy's shop) which is a part of this forum: http://www.cyclingforums.com/ This forum also contains the 'Aus Cafe' usenet forum, which takes a couple of days to register for, but that's where most of the Melbournians hang out. |

On holidays at the moment and was cleaning out the cupboard when I came across my first cycling shoes. Thought they might bring back a few memories for ed073 or others?
|
^^ Yeah, what 531 said. The higher end bike shops are usually a good place to make enquiries. Mascot Cycles in Richmond has a ride down Beach Rd every Sat morning at 7am (I think) from the shop. This is a pretty relaxed ride and a good one to start with when getting into group rides.

I've got the same shoes (somewhere), but they're the grey ones and they're ripped to shreds! Cost me $150 at Terry Hammond in 1987, and I used them for about 10 years. They didn't cut it with clipless. |

LOL Gave an identical pair to a mate of mine. I still have a pair of the silver ones with the 'aero' cover (super Merckx or something). There might even be a pair my original Adidas Merckx shoes floating (with the leather stripes) around at my parents house. :) |

Buying a Learsport is a good way to get a groupo cheaper than aussie retail. Pity you have to scrap the rest of the bike. Not a very sustanable way to buy groupo's. |

is the ATTA TT held on the same course as the CCCC RR's? speaking of racing on the central coast, are you or Pshaw doing the night XC race at Ourimbah in june? id give it a go but i dont have the lights, (or the mega bucks for a good set) |
Does anyone know who is the Australian delivery agent for Parcelforce (UK)?
My parcel arrived Monday but wasn't at work to accept. I don't know who actually delivered it to call to get it re-delivered. Stoopid receptionist didn't give me the details. |

Good old Dunlop Rd; I did my first ever criterium there in 1987. I don't think we even needed a license back then It might be our last at Dunlop Rd cos of: a) council permits and b) Casey Fields I'm not sure which grade I'm this weekend... hopefully C, and hopefully this flu will have completely gone by then. |

http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=190961 (PS Does silicon allow higher cadence?) http://www.bv.com.au/forums/index.php Regarding silicon and cadence ... well just check out the lack of bounce on someone with implants, 'nuff said. :p |
I plan on doing the night race and the 4 hour one later in the year. Need to get out and do some practice at night up there, but hopefully it will come off. I would like to do the May race but it clashes with my wife birthing my second daughter.

Yeah stupid thing is only for UK deliveries. You need a postcode, which is for UK addresses only.
I've emailed them but reply time is 24-72hrs. I want my wheels damn it! |
Ill be there for the may round. what is silly though is that CCOMTB dont do a pointscore for anyone but members of CCOMTB. It would be nice if it applied to outside club riders like every other club series ive done
|
Deliveryman - "I have a parcel here for XXXXX XXXX"
Secretary - "Sorry, no XXXXX XXXX works here" Deliveryman - "Are you sure? It says XXXXX XXXX and this address" Secretary - "Pretty sure" Deliveryman - "Oh, okay....thanks" Ten minutes pass. XXXXX XXXX walks past the secretary on the way to the water cooler. XXXXX XXXX - "Hi Melanie, how's it going?" Secretary - "Hi XXXXX. Pretty good thanks" |
Thats why they get paid the big bucks!
