Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dick,

Wow, I didn't think I would find many ww/bikers. I sort of split time between the two, nicer weather biking, and in the Winter ww picks up.

More than likely, they have their own jersey that they've made and are selling. Purchase those instead of the generic ones you're seeing on nashbar, as A) they'll help the team out, and B) they're authentic stuff made from your own alum.

That longhorns one for example...it's a pretty sharp jersey, but visit www.utcycling.org and you'll find the UT cycling team has an even better design. And again, it will benefit the poor college kids.

Thanks! It looks like the UT Cycling store is down for maintenance right now but I bookmarked the site and will check back. I've been wanting a UT jersey and I feel even better justifying the purchase if it will benefit the team.

Probably because nobody's figured out a way to make a decent cycling jersey out of hemp.

I need to get me one of them Purdue Boilermakers jerseys. Nashbar don't got em, but I think that the school club does sell em on the internets. Go Boilers!

At the recommendation of this thread, I contacted my schools club president. I have an order going in right now. The upside is that their jersey is so much better looking than the Nashbar or Velo one. Plus I can tell my wife it was a charitable donation.

Not quite the team jersey, but close--just no sponsor logos.

I'm not a team member, but I wear my Auburn Flyers jersey especially when I'm riding with the team. I also support them by volunteering at their annual race weekend.

It's not my alma mater, but I got the University of Texas one off this dood on the forums. It's one of my most favorite, most comfortable jerseys.

I got the Florida team jersey which is very different from the one at Nashbar. Better looking as it features Albert prominently.

Far and away my most expensive jersey but proceeds do go to the team.

My wife and I both did our undergrads at Central Florida and would probably spend a ridiculous amount for jerseys but haven't seen them.
