TheCahill and I just both picked up the 6bend version of these bars from Nashbar. haven't mounted them, but I have so far been impressed by their lightness and stiffness (for the price).

In the early 1990s, I used Modolo X-Tenos. Very stiff bars.

well.... even though the nashbar representative told me "we only ship to canada via fedex" and the website only has one canada shipping option "canada mail 7.99" which is later detailed in the shipping FAQ's sections under the "up to 20$" colum as " Fedex Ground: Canada $7.99"... so i specificly only order the bars and some of that slime sealant to keep the order under 20$ cdn caues i don't want to pay fedex brokerage, but i do want to take advantage of their fast shipping on a small order that won't be taxed. And this kinda works out cause i might need the bars for next week to fit onto a new bike and i'll need them to swap stems for me, so i placed the order on the basis that i'm ordering small, so it won't get taxed up the wazoo by fedex.. and it will get here much faster then usps.
But now i find out it shipped USPS, which is great (not really), had i known that i would have ordered more and been prepared to wait, cause the last package i received from us mail took exactly 4 calendar weeks to get to me.
Am i just a cry baby to want my package in 5 buisness days via Fedex as nashbar informed me and indicated on their site? Cause now i'm looking at 5 buisness days MINIMUM, and it would be a freak occurence, although i've seen it happen twice where i'd receive a airmail package from the states in 1 week, it usualy takes 2 calender weeks, but if there's delays up to 4 weeks.
Just sort of janke's my chain.. oh wait, i don't have one right now

So how's everyone liking the 8 bends?? I obviously(read below) haven't had a chance to try them on the road yet, but they feel pretty light, and i haven't really been able to bend or twist the bars using my arms or legs to try and leverage them.
Took 2 extra days but i got my bars, (grrrr nashbar for not shipping fedex). Coincidentally my new light for my bike only fit's 26 bars so i guess that works out good, and my aero bars are designed for 26, so i can put away the adapters now.
Funny story, i went to the LBS to buy a new stem for the bars since i don't have a 26 clamp stem, told one of the guys there that i picked up these bars to try them out, as soon as i said "mondolo" he said "oh they're crap, you should buy these carbon bars(he pointed to a display case), way stiffer and much lighter". I just smiled and said "are they 10$ too?" Well that shut him up pretty good, and it turned out they didn't have my size stem, he then went on to say "looks like nobody makes 110mm that we can order in" i just rolled my eyes. For the record, i had seen many " 90, 100, 110, 120" check box's on the tag for some of the stems i was looking thru in the bin. Oh well, i just made sure to ask for a 26 clamp on my new bike, problem solved

Mine arrived a few days ago but not on a bike yet. Look like they should be fine. Bought mine b/c they're a good deal and with my last few projects I've been finding decent bars harder anad harder to get for decent money.

Those bars with the cut angles are based on the classic "Cinelli 65 Criterium" handle bar. The idea was the more rounded corners allowed a person to sprint in the drops aggressively with out banging your wrists and arms..
I had a set on my Klein Q-Pro and loved the feel and look of them.

Modolo makes avery nice and stiff bar. I had a Speedy Anatomic before and it was stiff for a ~300g bar.

Looking forward to mounting mine on my synapse
I think everyone's bars a 93 stock, either that or they're shipping from a time portal.
Oh ya, i think the bars went up to 19$ now, so i feel even better about buying them.
