Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wear this every ride. Like American Express, never leave home without it.

I keep a photocopy of my drivers license in my jersey pocket.

It worked for me. When I got into my accident, they found my ziploc with my photocopied license and cell phone.

Does it have a place for your rabies tag?

Yeah, I think I just have bad luck w/ emergency services. I had an asthma attack after a cross country race in HS, and got rerouted after I couldn't provide insurance info. Could have just been beds got full, but it did seem kinda odd.

Penicillin has an excellent chance of making me end up dead. So... as a result of that, and a trip solo to go cycling and hiking in the Appalachians, I got the RoadID. Fiancee, parents, MD numbers are on there, as are blood type and PCN allergy. Seems like a simple step to take... I do bring along drivers license and insurance card, though, for the kinds of emergencies for which one is conscious.

FWIW, I think the wrist or neck is more likely to be found than the ankle, but any of the above help.
