Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Haha, I wasnt planning on getting it but since he called me back i figured i'd jump on it. The brifters alone can probably fetch upwards of 60 or so dollars. They were gunky and didnt shift at all when i got them, But after some serious WD40 drenching, They eventually started clicking. Now they click as if brand new. I am ecstatic XD. I now have 4 bikes with Shimano STI, and i just won an auction on ebay for some 9 speed veloce shifters derailers, cranks and cassette, Which should be coming in the mail in the next couple of weeks. I am telling you this for reasons that are beyond me.

The frame looks like a 52cm, but i swear it feels like a 56 at least. I wonder what im gonna do with it LOL.

That CK hub is worth than some bikes in this thread, nice.

So here I am again - the Ass hat that converted his CAAD9-6 to single speed so he wouldn't be worried about elemental failure during commutes.... I'm back to redeem myself!

Posted this in the sticky thread, but I'm sure you guys would love to know I threw on some DA 7800s and the rest Ultegra-ish parts (all brand new) with new training wheels:

+1. But for the love of God learn to use exposure compensation if you're going to photograph a white bike in front of a white garage door.

You have redeemed yourself.

That would be really hot with orange logos on the frame.

2010 Synapse 5 alloy - I picked it up last week. Can't wait for the snow and salt to be gone so I can actually ride it!
Since the pictures were taken, I've removed the reflectors. The pedals were some they forgot to remove when I was fitted at the bike shop.
Not as nice as some here, but I thnk it will work out well for me. I'm stepping up from a Trek 7300 and this bike feels like it weighs half of what the hybrid weighs.

Nah, that's where it needs to be. I'm not exactly in prime cycling shape, yet, as the picture should show.

I'm working on it, though!
