Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Forte T1 Aerobar-Anyone use it?

They are one sale at Performance, and I am in need of a cheapish Aerobar. I have been lurking ebay for a Syntance C2, but I might just go with these to skip ebay.

I dunno, I'd prefer under 70 dollars.

Sorry - what kind of bike is the going on? Road? Tri geometry?

I put a VisionTech TT Mini w/ 1" armrest risers on my Cannondale R1000 recently. $65 for a road-specific aerobar. I noticed after years of using normal aerobars on roadbikes that I was too easily fatigued after riding on normal aerobars for any extended period of time.

I used them on this bike

They work just fine. They actually come with 2 sets of mounting screws, 1 to mount armrests directly to the bar and another set to use a .5inch riser underneath.

dekalbSTEEL: how do you like your Profile Fast Forward seatpost? Are you able to feel the difference in aero position?

I must admit, that post certainly looks strange mounted on a bike!

I've got the even cheaper Forte T2's. No problems. Very comfortable.

I just bought the Performance T1 bars. I had purchased the T2 bars but Ebayed them because I wasnt aware at the time of purchase the finer points of aero bar setup. I needed a pair of bars that I could adjust the lenght of the bars for and aft.

I would also be very interested in reading on tips as to how these are setup. I am aware that with Aero bars there is the "Golden Rule" of arm position - 90 degrees forarm to upper arm when in the aero position. Otherwise, can some offer and help as to what angle I should use in reference to the handlebar?
