Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: Ever changing..as of 2-24-09: 2003 Giant TCR Team Once, Sampson titanium, 1992 Paramount Series 3, 2003 Cervelo P3, 70s Raleigh Record fixed gear, 70s Fuji SL-12 commuter, mid 90s Klein MTB. Plus two or three frames lurking, plus 5 wife/kids rides

OK, resurrected thread prompts me to post resurrected ti. Old Sampson frame, bought it on Ebay, stripped it and sold the parts, painted the front of the bike and built it up with the best of my remaining parts stash. Oh yeah, I had to buy a sweet 3TTT stem for it also.

You need Ti bottle cages, bars, bar ends, and seatpost. The Ti tire levers are just for show.

The bar ends even have ti bolts. The cages actually work better.

I know a guy that has that seat. They rule.

Dude, I was going to defend you on the bar ends - I have an '88 Rockhopper Comp with purple anodized bar ends - and then you go and post a picture like that? I assure you that the mullet is most definitely not the thing we're most worried about seeing on you.

Now back to our regularly scheduled ti fetish...

Motobecane Le Champion Ti. Deda Newton Shallow bar, Deda Zero100 stem, and Forte Pro SLX saddle instead of the Ritchey Biomax bar, Ritchey Pro Road stem, and Skye saddle that came with it.

I'm not a big fan of the paintjob, but that stem is pure sex.

are you reffering to the shaped top tube or the sloping geometry? I think it looks great, but then it is my bike.

Still riding this bike daily. 108 miles on it yesterday. Never get tired of it. God knows how many miles
this bike has on it. I stopped counting. Many.
