Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Love this frame to death, fits me so well, so smooth. Someday when I'm not a poor grad student, I will start upgrading parts....

I should have this new Titus in my hands by the end of the week. I need to buy a fork and I'm all set. I plan to build it with Ultegra SL and EA90SLX wheels.

^^Great Titus frame, I can't wait to see it built up! I was considering one of those when I was building my Ti ride, but ended up with something else. I wish I had had the budget for a Titus, though.

After buying the cranks you couldn't afford the garage door to take pics of?

I should have the fork by Wednesday and hopefully will have it built by the weekend. It's not exactly as it was listed on eBay so I'm having to pick up a few more parts than I expected. I have a Thompson seatpost on order with the fork and I have to get a shorter stem because the frame was listed as 54 and in reality it's a 56. But, I talked with my fitting guy and I think we can make it work with a 1cm shorter stem and some short reach bars.

The triangulated down tube is pretty cool and it looks like it will be plenty stiff while retaining that ti ride. I'm stoked to get it out for a long ride. This is my first foray into the wonderful world of ti.

Cheers!

It's finished. Well until I decide to move my DA 7800 group over and upgrade the seatpost, bars and stem. I think I can get it close to 16.25 without new wheels. I may reward myself when I lose the last 20 pounds of me by reducing my Titus by 1 pound LOL.

Went for a 40 mile ride yesterday and I love the way this bike rides. I'm even considering selling my Madone.

Man. Rode that Ibis Ti Road the last two days. There really is nothing quite like old school Ti. Amazing.

Does anyone else prefer this older Ksyrium wheel decal setup. I think it looks awesome.

We don't have white garage doors, we have red ones instead.
