Put this on a while ago, but have done a few things....different wheels and stem...but most importantly...it's fun to post your bike!!! I've been thinking about stripping all the decals though. Not only the frame, but also the wheels...haven't made up my mind yet.

Here's my '99 Fat chance. I know it's a Mountain bike, but it's the only Ti I have.

Is the drop on those bars as deep as it looks? The curve of the drops looks very nice. What kind of bars are they?

I was thinking about stripping my decals also. The decals on the my frame, seat post and fork are already scratched. The decals on my wheels are peeling. I was thinking about stripping the decals off the wheels as a start. I'm also tempted to strip the decals off the frame for a total minimalist look. I did it on my commuter bike (Surly Cross Check) and it looks pretty good.

Here's a rarity! Pinarello Opera Titanium/Carbon with Campagnolo Carbon Record!

The Pinarello Opera Titanio/Carbonio is a little large, but rides great! The main frame is Titanio, the fork, seat stay's and chain stay's are Carbanio! "Fatta in Italia" translates "Made in Italy"!

I guess Opera is a division of Pinarello for experimental material!

I don't know anything about titanium frames, just want to know what you guys think of Douglas Precision Titanium? Are they any good or no?

Douglas I believe was the house brand for Colorado Cyclist. If you google search you probably can get some information. IIRC Colorado Cyclist had Litespeed build them. CC was a big Litespeed dealer (I purchased mine through there) at one time (not any longer afaik).

From what I have seen online the Douglas frames were solid, perhaps not spectacular, but solid.

Thx.. Rocking this made it a bit easier to pass on the sweet lynskey deal for now.. Yes on the stickers after going through 3 sets of factory replacements I got some aftermarket decals off eBay, great quality, super easy to apply and like 1/5th of the price

Too late.

I waited until the promo for world wide shipping already ended. Then, I made the mistake of calling Don Erwin.

Guess what.

If I remember correctly, it's a typical 105 MIX. Still a smoking deal, but don't want anyone mislead. I am LOVING my new R230. I wanted the more "comfort" oriented bike, so I'm still glad I made the choice that I did over the 330, but that IS a great deal! And yes, Don is a trouble maker, disguising his dastardly plan as offering a great product and amazing customer service!

PhotoJoe 07-10-12 08:48 PM

Just realized, I never posted the after assembly pix.

Not guilty - when I placed my order, there were at least 2-3 of each size from XS to XL left.

I am already booking a bike fit for the R330 and am resisting upgraditis. The problem is that I have a set of "old" SRAM Red shifters and RD and a new SRAM Red Yaw FD.

I have already set up my excel sheet for the bike components. The saddle might be upgraded immediately.

I believe it says "GURU" on the frame. They are a Ti (and carbon) frame builder based in Canada.

leona88 07-12-12 03:49 PM

The Eurus wheels have Record Hubs, and do they ever sound Great! They have this very fine ratchet sound that I have never heard the likes of before.
