Very nice Ti CX bike for a very nice price. I had my mind set on a Moto Ti road bike but BD was out of them and kept promising several times that they would come in, 1 1/2 years went by and they didn't come in, so I happened to see that Lynskey had an introductory sale on their Silver Series bikes so I got the Peloton instead which was the 2nd lowest costing TI bike I found. If I could have waited another 6 months I could have saved $700 and got the Moto! But it appeared to me they weren't going to be selling TI bikes anymore from the way Mike started talking over at BD in my last e-mail.

But if anyone is interested in buy a TI bike but they don't want to spend a boatload of cash get the Motobecane because that's a great deal and a nice riding bike. You can't beat a TI frame with Ultegra mix components for $1899 or upgrade to Ultegra brakes as well and better wheels for $2,199. I was actually able to test ride for quite some distance several times a friend of mines Moto road bike and for the money it's a sweet deal. It's a tad less aggressive feeling then my Peloton (I have a Enve 2.0 fork so not sure if the fork makes mine feel more aggressive or the frame design) but a tad more aggressive than my other friends TI Serotta.

And the more expensive SL has Ultegra bottom bracket/crank rather than FSA. I keep telling myself I don't need N+1.

No22 Great Divide Disc Custom, made in NY.
After 1000km in this baby I can easily say that it is the best bike I have ever ridden and perhaps the best made, the welds are unbelievable.

As a fellow Ti rider for 16 years (Merlin), I like the looks of the No 22. A few questions about your set up. The set back seat post seems unnecessary with the way that you have the seat positioned. The stem seems to be pretty upward lifting as well. Otherwise, i like the looks of this.

The Merlin Works CR frame I picked off ebay for $1000 essentially unridden. With all my stuff transferred over from the Everti Falcon that I just didn't like the ride of. 14.8 lb as shown.

IMO looks just wrong and diminishes otherwise fantastic looking bike.

Here is my One-Off custom Ti built by Mike Augspurger, one of the co-founders of Merlin Metalwork. I am the second owner, but I inherited all the original correspondence and documentation from the original order. The drivetrain shown in the picture has been replaced with Duran-Ace. The rack and bottle cages were also made by Mike and are Ti. Something else I've never seen anywhere else, a Ti fork (another piece of Mike's signature work).
As much as I love the uniqueness and history of this bike I will likely sell it in the spring, as I get older I find recumbents much more to my liking. You can see better pics at https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=C5295...673790E%213550

HED and Easton sure are proud of their brand. I zapped my EC90 Aeros with black spray paint.

I've been meaning to do it on that fork, too... but I'm not sure if I'm keeping it.

I like the Merlin frame but the lime yellow is overkill throughout

Bought the Moots on Chicago's CL, hoping I could fit, but alas I had to sell the frame/fork. The Campagnolo Record CX cranks are Power Torq, which required special Park tools. I went to four LSB's, all claiming they had the special tools to remove the Record CX 175mm cranks, three said they broke tools trying to remove the crank, which they couldn't(I grabbed the bike and ran), what!! I had a 170mm to put on, but as it turns out the bike was too large by 5mm (dismounting quickly would hurt), or I would still have the Moots.

wow Wow WOW!!! Your custom titanium bike is absolutely BREATHTAKING!

The only thing missing is some nice metal silver or black valve caps. :p

people don't like the seatpost 'cause it's hideous. it detracts from an otherwise outstanding bicycle.

Thanks! I have the black valve caps but am too lazy to uncap and cap everytime I put air.... Im changing the Eriksen seat post to a straight one, since I'm not really using the setback as you can see, besides that, everything is great.

The straddle cable height on those cantis is ridiculous.

My Moots

As long as the bike fits, it's no problem. In my situation, the stand over height was less then a mm, so I had to sell the bike frame/fork to someone in China off of CL. The other parts (the parts are not for sale) on the Moots I kept for future builds and some parts are on my Colnago C50, the Campagnolo Shamal wheels. Amazingly, the whole Moots weigh in at 17.2 lbs as shown. Thank you, Mike

That bike looks fantastic! Functional, fast, well proportioned. Nice!
