2010 Moots Vamoots CR with CK hubs, BB, and headset, SRAM Force components, Enve fork, and Stan's Alpha 340 rims. I picked it up used for a great price. :)

Nice bike, well done. |
Way back in the early 80s, I had a faring on my road bike made by Zipper. Super simple and easy to use. Velcro attached to the brake hoods, and rolled up into a tube when not in use.

The website gives almost no information about the frame. I want to know if it's even double-butted. I assume it isn't.

Not Guilty.

Now there's something I haven't seen before. (Oh, how the mighty have fallen). Just sold on ebay, hopefully to someone who will give this bike a little more respect. I'm working on my first Ti bike - 1999 Litespeed Blade. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=498130 I am doing a minimalist build. Eight speed. No front derailleur. Suntour Superbe 165 single ring cranks. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=498141http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=498142 Pedals will be speedplays, (though I like the look of the egg beaters). I am waiting for a modern stem to come in the mail. 20+ stems and all quills...seat is Flite titanium and post is litespeed titanium, RD Campy Record ti, BB Edco w/titanium spindle. Theme is.... yep, Titanium. So i bought a set of zipp 400 wheels with titanium spokes off ebay... but they weren't. Didn't pass the magnet test. Ah the joys of eBay. Then i won a pair of 650c shamal wheels off ebay. Not the ti ones, i knew, but they weren't 650c either..it's a work in progress. I'm an old roadie. Going to need a lot of help dialing in best aero position. ( I'm old and slow, so it's for fun and personal satisfaction, not competition. |

I just got this Titanium that appears to be a circa 1990-93 Litespeed Tachyon
51cm frame with 650 wheels |

My Litespeed Ghisallo last December after a new handlebar wrap (funny how bar wrap makes me fee like it is a new bike again).

Nice set of ti bikes, I'm interested in any info you have on the Merckx, I bought the same bike used (with a 9 speed Dura-Ace group and LOOK fork) after test riding it at my local shop. I researched it on the internet and found that the AX was supposed to be flexy, which mine is definately not, but then read that it was supposed to have a threaded headset and round tubes. Mine has the bi-oval downtube and 1" threadless that yours appears to have, and I was wondering if you knew when they changed the specs?
I'm the original owner of the Merckx purchased in 1999 for $2467 spec'd with DA 9 and the Profile BRC threadless fork. I believe at that time there were two models of Merckx titaniums. The other was called EX. I believe they were only sold as framesets so threadless or threaded was the customer's choice. The frame was made by Litspeed and had Merckx geometry. The tubes are bi-ovalized for that year as you state. |

Here's my Lynskey R265. Built up right as the snows started to fly so unfortunately I cannot say what it rides like but it looks very promising. It supposedly will fit 28 tires but I know for certain that GP 4000s 700 x 28s will not fit, I tried.
Gotta do the garage door shot! http://www.pbase.com/jhuddle/image/162460303.jpg http://www.pbase.com/jhuddle/image/162460304.jpg USA made http://www.pbase.com/jhuddle/image/162460305.jpg Some of the welding, for those that get into that. http://www.pbase.com/jhuddle/image/162460306.jpg |
And more:
A real headbadge. http://www.pbase.com/jhuddle/image/162460307.jpg Tried to get the curved seat stays, should make for more comfort. http://www.pbase.com/jhuddle/image/162460308.jpg Full carbon fork. http://www.pbase.com/jhuddle/image/162460309.jpg Nice details, http://www.pbase.com/jhuddle/image/162460310.jpg |
Very nice Lynskey :)

Thanks, I just want spring to get here so I can ride it.
