Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pedal Suggestions

I'm currently using SPD mountain bike pedals on my commuter/training bike for the ease of walking around in and the frequent unclipping in traffic. I'm thinking of switching to road pedals but would still like to keep some of the walkability of the mountain bike shoes. I'm currently using Time RSX's on my other road bike. Any suggestions?

After starting out with spd's from my many years of MT Biking, I went with speedplays and now I've settled with Shimano Ultegra SPD-SL. I like the slightly larger platform and the solid engagement. That said the Speedplays where easier to learn to get into at first. Both good pedals in my opinion. NOt a lot of good road pedals allow you to walk normally though. Good luck in your search.
