Weight/Height comparison

5'10.5" barefoot. 140-145lb normally, 145-150 currently due to being in brazil and eating 1kg+ of picanha every day for the last month.
ideally i'd like to be at 150-155 steady (marginal weight being all muscle of course), only to fit american clothing better

Well if it's Science, that's OK. Thank God we have you to share your wisdom here Professor Clown.
P.S. When you say 'Weight Charts', they're all over the place. You can pretty much find a weight chart to justify a wide range of weight at any given height.
P.P.S. Let us know if you actually ride your bicycle, that would a BF News Item.

Just curious - a lot of guys posting here mention being large boned or having a big frame - this would be me too - I'm a hair under 5'8" and definitely overweight at 220ish. But as bad as I look shirtless, You wouldn't necessarily see me on the street and think "Thar she blows!!". I'm just WIDE.
how do YOU know you're big boned/framed? For me, it's a combination of big wrists and ankles (I need extra long watch bands, for one thing, and shirt cuffs are almost always too snug), and wide hips (at 135 lbs, my lightest weight when I was 25 or so, I still was a 32 or 33 waist in jeans).
Finally, looking back at old photos where I was skinny (130-145) - my wife says I looked too flinty/pointy/angular/bad. She feels 150-160 is the lowest I should go, although at my height (especially for a cyclist) that's Jan Ulrich territory.....

6 - 2 and 260#. But I have a 54 inch chest and 38 inch waist, am 24 inches across the shoulders, and have size 14 feet.
When I ride my LHT and people remark how heavy it must be, I remind them that the difference in weight between my all-steel LHT and one of those lightweight bikes made of old recycled Fresca cans and frozen snot is about equal to one of my shoes.

A shade under 6ft 2" and about the 180 mark..
I'm quite an odd shape though.Big hands,skinny wrists,36" waist,size 12(13 of your US sizes)and a wee beer belly.Just a wee one mind.

I imagine UMD is probably correct that BF scales are bogus but while his feet didn't change during weight change mine have. When I weighed 290# my feet were 11EEE now at 196# I'm 11M I had to throw away some really nice shoes that just don't fit anymore.

If I have to lose the shoes I'd rather it was due to a weight loss, rather than a gain!
