New KESTREL...
i was a kestrel owner for 13 years before buying my current bike, but have been considering adding another in the near future. so needless to say, i'm a fan. i was looking around at glorycycles.com when i found this, and after being a bit repulsed at first glance, i have to say it's already growing on me

Internal cable routing, sinous tubing and the hottest seatpost collar I've seen - I have to concur, I'd hit it too.
Are you going to get the orange or black?

it's so new that no one has any info on it yet. it's not even on the kestrel site, so i don't even know where it rates against the evoke, which is what i've been looking at.
i'd have to say, though, that if i did get one of these, it would be the black one for no other reason than it would be easier to paint.

The angles and tube shapes strike me as a bit odd looking, but hey, if it's functional, that's cool with me. So when are you getting one?

haha..
not totally sure. i have to finish the project i'm working on now and see where i am finiancially. but my eyes are pretty big right now, so i'm even looking at a pinarello F4:13 =|
i still love the evoke, though. i know it's a great ride and just about as good as it gets for the money, so we'll have to see.
sometime during the "winter."

I can live with a 53 cm. By the way, how's the knee? When will you be off the DL? We'll have to ride together sometime. Plus, I need you to show me again how to swap cassettes when my new wheels come in.

i can ride just fine without pain now, so i think i can be activated. it's when i click out that it hurts. i also can't run around or anything, so no tennis or dodgeball for a while. of course, with my luck i'll be sprinting for a sign or something and my left foot will un-click and i'll blow out my knee. i've never had an accidental click-out, but now would be the time.

The dropout design and wider stays looks like it would be a pretty stiff design. Quite artistic and functional.
I really like it.

Rolf Prima Elan Aeros. Going with the silver color. Putting 23mm Specialized Mondo S-Works tires on them. We'll see how well they hold up, and then I'll decide whether they'll be everyday wheels (minus rainy days and days with really rough roads) or if they'll be big climb wheels. I expect that most likely, I'll just go ahead and ride them regularly.
