Advanced Composites
Anyone know anything about Advance Composites? It looks like they manufacture Wound Up forks, and maybe some other stuff for us roadies. I found a full carbon fork made by AC online for $150, on sale from $350. I'm shopping for such a think to match up with the new threadless headset that's on its way. Anyone know who else they might make OEM stuff for or anything else about the company in general?

Advanced Composites is simply a name of a company that makes carbon forks.
Not all their models wuld be the same. I am sure companies like Wound Up would use higher standards.
These forks are usually sold on inexpensive frames with different decals.

Yes, Xavier, I know that they are a company that makes carbon forks. I reasoned that when I found one for sale. I also found out that they make a lot of stuff out of carbon and that they provide the tubes to Wound Up, if they don't build the whole fork. I am trying to find out what companies use them as OEM and see if anyone knows anything but the painfully obvious about AC.
mark, the kestrel is what I've got on my bike now. I'm anxious to go to threadless, but want to put a different fork on than I'm running. Thanks for the mention, though. If it's a 1" threadless, I might end up getting it if I don't find anything else under $300 that I have at least heard good things about. I'll check out chucksbikes.com and see what they say. Doubt that it's more than I have found out already, but I'll give it a shot.
