Good music for the trainer?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

But that is only for "Zen Mode". Try lighter stuff for just riding to ride.
Mushroomhead? Aren't they a second rate Slipknot? And isn't Slipknot a second rate Gwar? And doesn't Gwar just...suck?

Metal=throw on some Kalmah or Children of Bodom. Speed/Thrash metal with harsh vocals and quite a few of the songs range about 200 bpm. Just cut it in half.

Great energy and fast fast playing with a happy/heavy sound and great riffs and solos that doesn't make you want to slit your wrists when it's over. It's not pure anger and rage. It's perfect for keeping the drive and motivation going.

Think Megadeth with way more heavy/uplifting/catchy riffs each song, amazing guitar play, and screaming death metal style.

You're joking, right? In those pictures of Mushroomhead, they're making fun of Slipknot, they don't actually wear those masks, I've been to three concerts, and they're super raw. Nothing like those nancy's.

Wolfmother is good too, as well as The Uplift Mofo Party Plan and Blood Sugar Sex Magik by noneother than the Chili Peppers. Their first Greatest Hits compilation is awesome, too. It's called What Hits!?

I believe I have seen tons of photos of Mushroomhead performing with the masks. One of their first albums covers, includes images of them with the masks.

https://www.intheannex.com/albums/mus...roomhead01.jpg

I highly doubt they would base their whole career around making fun of a band which they claim "copied them." They seem to be putting a whole lot effort into this joke. Album covers, concerts, interviews, publicity shots...

Metalica, Metalica.

If you want something newer, Evanescence, The Open Door has been keeping me busy on the trainer the last month or so.

I haven't been to a concert yet where they wear their masks, but they do, however wear face paint, as shown in your second photo.

thanks for any ideas

So far i've found a few songs by a band called Taking Back Sunday, and others by a band called Saosin.

Thanks,

Anything by FuManchu, total bad ass. Airborne, new Alice in Chains and an oldie Fatboy Slim.
