How about:
The Grewal brothers especially perpetual whiner Alexi? (Great climber though.)
Doug Shapiro winner of the Coors Classic one year?
Jeff Pierce?
Prehn? I think he rode all of the Red Zingers?
What are Connie and Davis Phinney doing these days? Is Davis still able to ride?
Bob Roll is in front of everyone on OLN now. But what happened to Steven Speaks? Absolutely GREAT racer.

I didn't see him, but I did see Carpenter. She seemed to be taking it easy, so when I passed her, I said "I am not worthy' and made a bowing gesture. I managed to get a chuckle out of her.

You HAVE to be kidding. Do you even know who Rebecca Twigg is?!? The unrealized potential you speak of amounted to 6 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in the Individual Pursuit, 16 US NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, 2 Olympic medals (silver in 84, bronze in 92) in both road and track disciplines as well as innumerable stage race victories on the road. Very few riders have had her success on both the road and the track. She is arguably one of the most successful riders, male or female, that the US has ever produced. As far as the blood doping thing, it was done by several members of the US Olympic team and WAS NOT illegal at the time. While it may have been unethical, it was only afterward that the IOC declared blood doping to be illegal. Perhaps you should read up on your cycling history before writing her off as another pretty face who didn't live up to her potential.

Alexi lives here in Loveland CO, building custom log homes. I heard he recently went for a group ride with some friends; there wasn't a serious rider among them, but they spanked him pretty good.

Alexi was a guy who could have been a contender if he could only have controlled his temper. As a climber there were very few guys in his league. And he was a really good looking kid too so that would have helped him in team photographs which sponsors love. All the girls would have been sticking his photo up everywhere if he wasn't such a whiner killing his own reputation all the time.

He contended for the Gold Medal once. That earns free beer for life, in my book.
It wasn't his temper that caused any problems. He just did his own thing from the start. He didn't care about girls putting his picture up anywhere.
He was actually quite mellow if you ever got to know him.
I saw him do some amazing things on the bike when we was riding for Crest.
And I spent a summer with him working on NCL stuff. He can read a race better than anyone I've ever spent time with.
Still trying to find out about Inga. hang on.

went through 2 pairs, but got fed up that they'd go asymmetrical as soon as you crashed 'em.
It also didn't help that I didn't use the aero advantage when it counted - racing - and they were heavier than the Scott Lites that replaced them.

Since we are playing this game: "whatever became of Nelson Vails, 1984 Olympic medalist?"

I mean besides his foray into acting, with Kevin Bacon in Quicksilver.

Twigg was a three-time Olympian (1984, 1992, and 1996). However, her final Olympic appearance, in Atlanta in 1996, ended in controversy when she quit the team in a disagreement with the team coach Chris Carmichael and the U.S. Cycling Federation. The national federation had invested heavily in the development of the so-called "SuperBike". Twigg, after using the bike in an earlier portion of the Games, subsequently refused to ride it, citing poor individual fit and claiming that pressure from the staff on her to use the SuperBike and their refusal to grant formal accreditation to her longtime personal coach, Eddie Borysewicz, left her defocused.
