Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If by field testing you mean, assemble it and put it in the hall closet for the housekeeper to abuse, then yes you are correct. And it is still working pretty well, BTW.

I just bought 3 burritos adn a diet coke at taco bell. Really sucked.

While I was there two guys probably 18-20 came riding up on an old Schwinn Varsity and a nishiki. Appeared to be real nice bikes. Kinda looked like skin head, devil worshipping (from the T shirt), tattooed all over punks. but actually were very polite and articulate. Guess I am getting old.

I bought my wife some gloves yesterday.

Does the rule apply to gifts as well?

I hope not but given the way life generally goes, it probably does.

Oh, don't tell her they're for her birthday.

I bought three Spinervals DVDs and a Graham Watson calendar for the trainer room yesterday.
Should I just take them back unopened?

Glad you bumped that DrP. That cycleops trainer did not suck. Love it, got it cheap, it worked great. Between that and spinner class I was in better shape to start the season than ending last one.

Hey, you are the one who told us all to buy an overly OCP (or is it too Fred?) device to substitute for carrying your drivers license around with you on rides today.

I just told you to buy it. I didn't tell you that it wasn't the wrong color, that it wasn't OCP, or that you were too good for it. Pay attention.

You can pick up some 100$ Nashbar rollers and if you feel you need to put out more than 300W over 2 hours you can attach a Kreitler headwind unit.

OTOH, this is all too snobish. Being a couch potato is where it's at.

Then you're not paying enough, and the mere mention of any Nashbar-branded product is so fred it makes pcad's prostate act up.
