Google Map Pedometer. Check your route!
I was questioning the accuracy of my computer and it dawned on me to check my bike computer results with Google pedometer. I checked a routine route that I ride and it was within a couple tenths of what my computer says.

Those online programs use a series of straight lines (yes, even if it's using "follow the road") so I'd question how accurate it is. Pie doesn't come into the equasion when it calculates mileage. For that reason, it's more accurate on straight roads than on twisty ones.

I kid you not it takes me about 2 hours each time (I've tried 3 times and routeslip.com gets an error saving it each time) and it comes up 1-2 miles short and 2000' over on the elevation gain. OK so this has nothing productive to add to the thread, but it was a convenient excuse to rant

sure, it says it's for running but you can do everything you can with the aformentioned sites and more and it's about as easy as anything i've ever used.
tracks elevation, giving totals as well for the trip. it's accurate to within a tenth of what my cyclocomputer says.
