Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Even though my fork is straight (Bontrager XXX) I tend to think forks with a little curve look better, Ritchey and Easton have some nice examples. I don't really care for the forks the OP selected. Dr. Pete's bike is sweet, wonder how it would look with straight seat stays and fork legs?

I really liked the gentle curve of the Easton EC90 SL. That was a big part of my decision.

Maybe they wanted a stiffer fork while breaking, since most forks are already plenty stiff while braking.

Just like any other over-priced composite bike. At least Pinarello decided to attempt something different.

Bikes: A little of each

i'm personally a fan of the oval concepts r900 road fork as far as looks. It's probably overkill for a bike, but i'd like to think i could hang it up on a wall and stare at it from time to time.

Columbus Muscle forks are, in my opinion, quite beautiful and rather delicate in appearance.
