Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not that I want to go too far in defending emo but the bands mentioned here (Fallout Boy, My Bloody Valentine, etc) are really bad pop punk bands, not emo. Nor is the "emo hair" really emo, it's just gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm just saying.

I thought about getting an emo hub when I planning to build up a fixed gear, but then I found a frame with nice long horzontal dropouts. Besides, White Industries charges way too much for those things.

My Bloody Valentine is pop punk band? Hair can be gay?

I've learned a lot from this thread.

i not know what EMO is. but by description of clothing it seems to fit me. i wear tight jeans and tight sweaters, but i think i do it in a far more trashy-european way that actually attracts women. which is said but true for you emos

I stand corrected. When everything else classified as emo in the last few years has followed the pop punk template (Get Up Kids, every band on Deep Elm Records, Thursday, Taking back Sunday, etc), I just assumed it was just another since I had always heard their name mentioned by people who listen to those bands. Still, according to what I just heard on youtube, I am confused as to why anyone would brand them as emo. Still, my bad.

They are a ton of money, even on eBay.
