Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

cycling lingo

im a computer geek, so i can confuse people who aren't in the know as much as i want if i start talking technical jargon. its annoying to talk to those who dont know the lingo, because then you have to explain what you are talking about. not wanting to be one of those annoying people, where can i find a good source to educate me on cycling jargon? a friend of mine was talking about 'on the hood' and i had no idea what the heck he was talking about. LOL and i notice a lot of talk on the forums that leaves me feeling like im on a forum that doesnt speak english. i've googled, but cant really find anything relevant.
