Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If anything, remove the Team RyanF to replace with the bikeforum logo. *shrug* I really like the 400w deal. I find it pretty damn funny.

I like 400W too. Don't like putting BF on it. Approach it as a funny piece of kit, not an inside joke.

Are the colors going to stay completely clashing? i.e. is it going to be a messy blend of orange, yellow and blue?

No. The design of the shorts is being changed to tie it in with the jersey. The initial design for the shorts was a concept only. There still maybe the T-Mobile pink sleeves on the orange jersey though.

We will have to wait to see what Tappets comes up with.

I'm all for fun and games, it's what I do for a living. With all of the great possibilities for a jersey, I just think it's a weak choice. From what I can tell so far we've chosen to have our fun with a relatively new forum member just because he's excited and is a poor speller. It's just not that interesting. I guess I care because if we we're creating a kit with some brains behind it I'd be all in.

As has been spoken before, it will be an inside joke too. And I'd be willing to bet that if you don't feel really dumb explaining that it's to make fun of a newb, then you will when you see the reaction of the person you are explaining it to.

That said, you kids have fun now.

I thought this was the order thread, not the I am morally superior thread.

Well, let's see. What is the actual ratio of order/non-order posts in this thread...
BTW, I think you read the morality factor into it.

well, i don't really care if it's an inside joke or not and if others don't get it....i like it and there are a couple of my friends who are riders and will know what this is all about.

it could be a way to get exposure for BF as if someone doesn't know what the joke is direct them to BF....

my $0.02

Some of you are still worried that we are making fun of this RyanF "kid" but I just don't see it as such. The joke of this jersey is the "drope the hammer", hammer 1 +hammer 2 and the tape measure around the thighs. I think having "Team RyanF" on the jersey is incidental and its the inside forum joke. Now I misspell things all the time but maybe not as obviously as 'drope' but still its not a nasty joke.

Now the R600Dura-Ace t-shirt was more making fun of someone but the Team RyanF kit just isn't in the same league.

If its offensive to you then don't buy it.

Regards, Anthony

Look. Ryan really likes this jersey. So don't even worry about that part of it. Just hop over to Gabbly and ask him yourself.

Hi All - I've added the list of potential buyers so please go look and make sure that I've got the list right. I'm off to the champ-sys site to dig up the details on pricing and I'll add that to the original post as well.

That seems to be reasonable but I'll check to see if there is a limitation on mixing race cut and club cut.

forget that... here's the hamer art. i'll cut the colors back to 4 to keep costs down after i'm happy with the art. gotta get the funyuns art done and jan's face for the sleeve, if we're still goin with that.

what other suggestions... for the back? help!

Now that's a nice design. I personally don't like the whole 400 thing. Especially since that's another members quote, not Ryan's

Are you serious? The drope the hammer came directly from the Legend. That was one of his first memorable statements.
