What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a lovely orange carbon lugged frame road bike - custom made with my own colour choice, with full 105 and vision wheel set.

I will post a photo when I can!

Nice bike, mate! How much does it weigh, without bottles and saddle bag?
I have the same model, but with all stock components. Currently mine weighs about 8kg (which is too much...). I wanna see how much weight I could shave down by making your bike as my reference. Thanks!!

Such a lovely assortment of bikes that everyone has. Staring at them all makes me think it may be time to step into the carbon era (maybe in 5-10 years)
My stable of bikes:
1950s British 3 speed (Dayton Cycles). The fun one

1970s French (Cycles Yvars/Baco frame). The comfy one

1990s Italian (Daccordi/Columbus TSX). The fast one

90ís Merckx with mint 9v Record

My love for vintage steel does not end. Here is my current bike, a 90ís Merckx Corsa-01 with 9 speed Record. I stripped the group from a Torelli frame that did not fit me, and the results are very good so far.

I want to see more of this. Drive side shot please! Is that a Madonna del Ghisallo medal on the stem? Did you make that climb?

I agree. For $1400 its a solid bike with mostly 105 components. A similar spec bike from other manufacturers is around $1700. I recently severely sprained my ankle so have barely had a chance to ride it other than a quick spin around the block. I was lucky to find this at a shop not too far from home in So California. I canít wait til my ankle heals to break it in properly.

I'll play - Trek Emonda ALR, probably my favorite road bike I've owned/ridden in the last 30+ years. Can't beat it for the price. 15 lbs.

My first bike, a complete frankenstein that was brought back to life with a bunch of random parts and some DIY drilling and metalwork to replace a broken off FD mount.

350 euro road bike with the thumbshifting tourney groupset. Actually quite reliable and very silent, with surprisingly smooth shifting.

1800 euro Giant TCR 2 advanced. Carbon, tubeless, 105, nice and smooth.

Picked this up and revived it too. 2016 Cube Attain SL, 105 with hydraulic disc brakes. A little heavy but I liked the design and only paid 350 euro for it. Not bad for hydraulics, though they can be quite loud at times. Even after replacing pads.

Probably my favourite. Super light 2012 Felt AR4. Ultegra group (albeit 6700) and full carbon with some upgraded parts.

Thanks - yeah, a buddy of mine had built up a similar one, and I loved the way it looked. At some point I'll probably swap out the seatpost with an Enve one to match the stem, but I've always liked my Thomson Masterpieces......decisions lol.

You have a sharp eye, that is a Madonna del Ghisallo medal. I've spent time riding in the Piedmont region but I haven't made that climb (it's on my future list), but I picked it up when I visited the chapel.
