Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks, the aero tubing was only used maybe 3-4 years and I think around the same time frame Specialized had a similar frame in their Allez line up. Henry

I don't know but there is something about the Giant paint schemes that I really like. Great looking ride.

Also, did you get a discount on the wheels? One of the spokes is a different color.

Well, I know this may not be in the exact right category, but I just landed a steel '85 Centurion Accordo road bike off ebay for $46. I'm on the cheap because I had to replace my commuter MTB that was jacked This will eventually become the commuter. She's been upgraded with Shimano 600 DT friction shifters and a 600 RD. I am ashamed to admit that I think she rides better than any aluminum bike I've ridden. She's not too heavy, probably between 25-30lbs but the steel made riding over cracks in pavement a breeze.

The next two photos are of another accordo in similar condition (I just didn't have a nice enough photo of my actual bike but these do quite nicely, only difference is lack of pedals and headtube shifters).

Lose the reflectors and teh n00b ring on the cassette, and you've just shaved off a few lbs. The classics never go out of style.

Welcome to the club. You might want to be careful clamping the top-tube like that however.

Interesting assemblage of parts on that classic frame. I don't think that Faliero Masi ever thought about index shifting when envisioning that bike. BTW, that SunTour seatpost is my favorite. I still have a few of them and I use them whenever possible.
