#2. The 10spd Campy to 9 speed Shimano. Then I use the "Sheldon trick" to make it work with my 8 spd cassette.

DrPete: How are you liking the saddle?

You'll have to bring that beauty over my place for a proper picture in front of a white garage door. I would of course want a quick ride around the community in exchange. :D

I look at that bike and it just screams "If I were a car I'd be a Ferrari Formula 1 race car" It looks fast just sitting in the entry way!

camflan 01-06-07 02:39 AM

just got my first road bike. Allez Double :)

not nearly as cool as most of the bikes in this thread, but I'm excited anyway :)

PipinFan 01-06-07 06:53 AM

voltman,Yes those wheels are a BIG upgrade the Bike comes with Kysiriums Equipes, you need to pass the Elites, the SL's to get to the top from Kysirium and those are the ES "limited edition" which are the ones you see on my Bike.:D

Thanks! :) The cranks are Suntour, but I can't remember which model off the top of my head and I'm not near the bike at the moment.

Your bike is just drop dead gorgeous! Not being pretentious is one of it's beautiful features and so refreshing to see. A bike with a soul.

shakeNbake 01-07-07 11:40 AM

Man, I love those spinergy wheels! Reminds me the BMX I had when I was a kid.

Hehe... Thanks. When the engine is up to the task she's an absolute joy to ride. :D The Pinarello handling really makes you want to go fast, and knowing that the bike is more than up to the task is a real confidence boost. I'm so happy with the way the build turned out, and I feel more confident in fast riding/racing conditions. So while the bike didn't make me faster, it makes me want to get faster. :)

I have an old Treck.

RamahX 01-07-07 05:33 PM

I want that Nishiki. I'm coveting it.

Hey, V/R, have you gotten out and ridden yet? How soon?

Why not? The wheelset makes the bike. As an experiment I put my Mavic SL's on an alloy OCR2 and was shocked. One word WOW. Took them off, put them back on the Litespeed, and got hit by a car :eek:dammit! Hope they can be made true again in a couple months.

Also added: Cateye Double Wireless Computer, Italian Road Bike Mirror, Deuter Bike Bag III, Bebop Cromoly Pedals, Tacx Tao Water Bottle Cages, and Vittoria Diamante Pro tires.

About 2 months ago I passed a couple on their racing bikes where the guy had a similar setup attached to his race bike.
After about 20 minutes I looked behind be and these freaks were still behind me
I was going about 34Km....what a maniac!
