Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That really is a gorgeous bike Cleave. It's a shame it has to sit around waiting to be raced

Mmmkay...

I said I liked your bars and stem, even though they look horribly misplaced on your bike, and, if they were made before this year, are heavier'n hell because they're just carbon wrapped over an aluminum frame.

Does that warrant a ?

no time to post. Too busy riding.
No time to drive, even, and I JUST GOT THE CAR
Most Specializeds are hidden by a bunch of decals which is a shame of such a nice bike, but in this color setup I have to say I like it.
Great looking bike.

Calm down, no need to get contentious over nothing. Am I the one going on about the wonder of white carbon? My point was that I wouldn't dress one of my better bikes in it, what was yours? What bike do you think they would look better-placed on? A primo frame?

Six13, size 54. "Custom" Easton fork (basically Cannondale slapped a bunch of EC90s on our team bikes when they ran out of Slice forks. No complaints).

Tange Prestige
Dura Ace/600/105/Ultegra Mix (haha!)
Campy Dropouts
Eventually Id like to get it only Dura Ace/600.
Rides like stiff butter.

Went out and played with the camera a bit tonight.

Sweet mercy... forget it, man. I said I liked white carbon, even though it's no better than your run of the mill aluminum bar, heavier, and twice as expensive. My old boss put it on his dazzling custom IF, which was like the first amazing, out-of-this-world bike I ever held and rode and dealt with, so it's kind of like my bike mechanic's wubbie.

Just...don't use smiley faces...use...words...

Actually, this is outdated, but it'll hardly be noticeable -- I traded this 56 cm CAAD8 for a 60 cm CAAD8.

You were off that much in size originally that you had to trade TWO sizes up?

Who fit you, Stevie Wonder?

Hehe... I think it didn't help that the guy who put me on the 56 was 5'4" or less (I'm 6'2"), plus I was wearing MTB shorts that fit a little loosely, plus he didn't actually measure me the first time. Although, really, a 58 might fit fine, too; although again, some have said that the CAAD frame in a 60 measures out to a 58+ compared to other bikes. Either way, the 60 is a lot more tolerable than the 56 was.

Yeah, isn't it? I was thinking of going out specifically for pics, saw that twilight was coming, and decided to get some shots while The Awakening was still at the Point.
