Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Calvindoyle,
Interesting and sweet ride. If I read it correctly, that's a "Sparrow". Never seen one before. Where does it originate? Sweet looking lugs. Judging by the top tube cable routing and the appearance of the rear drop out, was it a track/SS frame that you converted into a geared machine? Thanks for the post. Cool bike.

Thanks man. I like the bike. I got the frame on clearance for 210 shipped. I have slowly been upgrading components. Could maybe have used a 52cm instead of the 50cm but it works nicely. It's what I got until I can afford more. My bike budget is in the hundreds not thousands.

Ah yes, Old San Marcos, trusty old friend... I do that climb a few times a week, although if you made it that far in 10 minutes you are moving pretty good.

It's actually called a Spartan. And yeah, it's a track frame that I converted into geared, and I absolutely love it. I've got mostly Campy components and I just can't stop riding. Finally a frame that's the right size

i love my zoncolan!!! i was riding an arione, and slr flite. i always liked both saddles, and thought they worked well. but the zoncolan is like riding on a tiny little cloud, or a saddle made of blad eagle feathers.

thanks for the compliments on the bike.

so far i've got about 6 minutes on the saddle...we'll see tonight in the trainer ride..

It had better be nice, it's not the normal Zoncolan it's the Carbon FX one so it's a bit harder than the regular one from putting them side by side.

I hope i like it...if i don't i am out a grip of cash.

Just getting into cycling and this is going to be my first. For a cheap price of $120, can't argue with that.

Hideous compared to what has already been shown.
