Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

if that is in response to my wheel swapping, both bikes run campy 10spd. the tommasini has "hacked" record 8spd ti levers. they shift better than the oem levers on the scattante (probably due for a rebuild)

Thanks! with the pedals and cages it comes a touch under 15.2#

Yup, it's definitely a team geo frame- 170 mm head tube.

What a great season!!! Thats my Tangerine Dream. Ever since I started riding 30 years ago I dreamt about owning a Serrota, and this past April my dream's came true, and this time having is just as good as wanting. All steel main frame with a ti fork chris king hs and campy record components. The saddle however was mine. Tangerine Dream is a CIII custom 2002 and not a scratch on her. Since April I've logged about 5000 mi on her, and she is pure joy.
Here's to looking foward to next season, best to all.

Any chance of putting up these pics again? They're stripped out of the thread now. I would love to see them.

However, as I researched more and more of Campy, I came across their history, previous parts and grouppo's, and instantly fell in love with their C-Record group. It's just beautiful stuff; high flange hubs, enclosed rear derailleur pulley housing, and of course, those Delta brakes! I just had to make it mine! For the build up, and most surprisingly, nearly everything is new, preserved by collectors, lost in the hidden nooks in shops only to be uncovered now, allowing me to ride and break in this bike just as fellow cyclist would have done more than 20 years ago! A nice break in ride is scheduled for tom, we'll see how she fairs!

It certainly is, but it'll have to wait until March for that. Then it'll be splitting race duties with this:

Love 'em! Normal rings feel a bit strange to me now, after getting accustomed to the Q-Rings.
