They're definitely different shoes. Regardless of color, there is only one velcro strap on his left shoe. Instead, it's that little band tighten thingy. Maybe it's a way to save a few bucks without getting too carried away.

I agree. Those are some hot shoes. But they seem to me to be like designer fashions - when a model has them on the runway, they (and she) look great. But, if I were to actually see them out on the road, they may be overpowering. Maybe not. They're gorgeous.
