I've run 120s forever and they work for me. So when I go custom, I work with the builder to design things with that length in mind.
Simply - I don't want to mess with what works. I can't see any advantage in going shorter or longer.

My Look 595 was the best CF frame I'd ever ridden, until I picked up a custom Crumpton SL. That bike is the best CF bike I've ever ridden, hands down.
When does it stop?

Crumpton SL is the best bike youve ridden...until you get back on a Calfee Tetra Pro?

As I've said before, and will say again, if you're between sizes, get the smaller size, every time. Because you can take a small bike and make it the same size or larger, but you can't make a big bike smaller. I realize he has a custom bike, but why would he want to have a larger frame when he can achieve the same thing with a slightly longer stem and seatpost? I have no clue if Terry B races, but he has a "race fit" frame.

In truth, I wonder if that ever starts unwinding and there's anyone with a story like this that ends with " . . . and then I rode a Scattante and THAT was the best bike . . . "

The 595 won't be 'quicker'. If the frames both fit ideally, the difference in power transferred to the road may be like, 1 watt, assuming same component set. I'm sure the experts could speculate on this.
I get that it feels different. That's fair enough, but how long did you ride it for?
But they are damn sexy.
also comparing a Tarmac Elite to a Look 595 is not a fair comparison. Although the Tarmac was designed to be a race bike, the frame costs less than half of the LOOK, so you can expect better carbon, better manufacturing and better engineering (even though they are French ). You are better off comparing the S-Works SL2 to the 595.

I do love the Looks though. Probably my favorite high-end bike.

Why do you have to bring slow tuna boats into equation? Let's stay focused on bikes. No need to be hatin'.
