Blue Competition Cycles...

Does anyone here have any experience with Blue Competition Cycles? I've seen a couple in magazines and they look pretty nice. Anyone?

Thanks,

Ray

I've raced some people and asked how they like them. I've always heard positive. JayC on this forum has a sweet one and has owned a couple. Also, glorycycles.com has a special on them right now.

Thanks for the input.

Great bike for the money. I had an RC4 which I sold and upgraded to the RC6. I built quite a few bikes this past year and the Blues are the only thing that survives the constant equipment churn. I finally decided Im not going to find a bike I like better so I'm sticking with the Blue.

Here's a picture of my RC6.

The bike isnt quite in the same form as the above photo, tho. Ive upgraded it to full DuraAce, put Fulcrum 1s on it and swapped the saddle out for something more comfortable.

I'm considering stripping a BD bike and constructing a DA/WCS RC5 next summer.

Well, stripped BD or PBK, whichever ends up cheaper.

I've never had a Blue, but damn, they are great looking bikes.

Erica, ya gotta trade those eggbeaters in!

bikingMILF 09-16-07 11:47 PM

lol shut up jon. they might clash with the bike, but they have a special significance and until i have a really really good reason, they arent coming off. i <3 those ding dang piddles. LMAO

That's a rad setup! You race?

bikingMILF 09-17-07 12:25 AM

pfffff.....race? not really.....just to keep up with the dude above me who posted his Blue RC6. we should weld them together into a tandem, problem solved.

rayfrady 09-17-07 06:07 AM

Those are some GORGEOUS bikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pugsly 09-17-07 06:44 AM

Those Rolfs really make the look.

Anyone tried the T.14 (TT)? I found a very good deal on one ($999, floor model) and am thinking of getting an Ultegra group kit from PBK and build up a Tri bike.

Blue Comp

I have 2 (RC4+RC6). Both are fast and take corners like on a rail. Their molds are all custom and their pricing is aggresive.

They are very nice but the geometry doesnt work to well for me :(

+1. steep angles and short top tubes

wolfpack 09-24-07 06:09 AM

Erica - you need to just paint those pedals blue!

I am supremely happy with this bike. The geometry is spot on for my long legs/long arms/shortish torso. Bike handles amazing, loves to climb and is a really fun ride. Price seemed like a good deal for the amount of bike I got.

oops

Love these bikes!!! I'm fairly new to road bikes and since my LBS doesn't carry them I had to settle for a Specialized Roubaix Elite.

KinjaBoy 09-24-07 09:52 AM

I've had my RC5AL since last winter, and I really enjoy it.

Treefox 09-24-07 10:21 AM

bikingMILF - hot ride. And that's the best use I've ever seen of the otherwise-a-bit-odd light blue Michelins.

Maybe snug your seat bag up a bit??

And put a pair of these on in either Gerolsteiner or Milram colours!
