Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Blue Competition Cycles...

Does anyone here have any experience with Blue Competition Cycles? I've seen a couple in magazines and they look pretty nice. Anyone?

Thanks,

Ray

I've raced some people and asked how they like them. I've always heard positive. JayC on this forum has a sweet one and has owned a couple. Also, glorycycles.com has a special on them right now.

Great bike for the money. I had an RC4 which I sold and upgraded to the RC6. I built quite a few bikes this past year and the Blues are the only thing that survives the constant equipment churn. I finally decided Im not going to find a bike I like better so I'm sticking with the Blue.

Here's a picture of my RC6.

The bike isnt quite in the same form as the above photo, tho. Ive upgraded it to full DuraAce, put Fulcrum 1s on it and swapped the saddle out for something more comfortable.

I'm considering stripping a BD bike and constructing a DA/WCS RC5 next summer.

Well, stripped BD or PBK, whichever ends up cheaper.

Anyone tried the T.14 (TT)? I found a very good deal on one ($999, floor model) and am thinking of getting an Ultegra group kit from PBK and build up a Tri bike.

Blue Comp

I have 2 (RC4+RC6). Both are fast and take corners like on a rail. Their molds are all custom and their pricing is aggresive.

Erica - you need to just paint those pedals blue!

Here's a pic of my NX7:

I am supremely happy with this bike. The geometry is spot on for my long legs/long arms/shortish torso. Bike handles amazing, loves to climb and is a really fun ride. Price seemed like a good deal for the amount of bike I got.

Love these bikes!!! I'm fairly new to road bikes and since my LBS doesn't carry them I had to settle for a Specialized Roubaix Elite.

Bikes: Yeah, I got a few.

bikingMILF - hot ride. And that's the best use I've ever seen of the otherwise-a-bit-odd light blue Michelins.

Maybe snug your seat bag up a bit??

And put a pair of these on in either Gerolsteiner or Milram colours!
