Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Probikekit have them IIRC. I could never afford them, then you'd see the AIS dudes warming up on them.

Well, large amounts of muscle are really only necessary to generate high amounts of neuromuscular power, i.e. sprints.

And, when you get down to it, how much muscle is necessary to push 375w (random number thrown out there), really? Not that much. Anyone can do it for a short period of time. And then, with most people it's a problem of not being able to process lactic acid and oxygen fast enough. It becomes a matter of training that amount of muscle to be able to do it again and again, for longer periods of time. It really just comes down to efficiency. Doing a large amount of work with minimal mass behind it. Slender legs just need to be able to process oxygen and metabolites, not generate a huge amount of force.

I've changed my diet recently, basically cutting down the amount of soft drinks I consume each day, as well as the amount of peanut butter I eat, and I'm below my in-season race weight despite not doing that much intensity or volume. And, my legs are slimming down a bit, yet I'm generating more power over long time periods than I have at any point in the past.
Yeah I knew Brajkovic was a former U23 champ. That's just so freakin' odd. Have you seen his power?
Though your explanation is very reasonable, I'm still thinking he had a wicked tailwind or something. Or his cadence is 140+? Or he has a ridiculously low CdA? Even if he had NO air resistance it's still hard to believe. I just can't believe it. It's some ridiculous hoax. It must be.
