Yes mommy.
I was very bad today by the way. I yelled at my chase group. I was imploring them to work together and not ride like the triathlete hammer drones some of them are. Right before I sling shotted them and closed the gap myself. F 'em. Yelling on fast rides is fun. I do it at least once a year.

LA was quite a weird place to ride today. I live in the South Bay, rode up the coast as far as Santa Monica. It was dead still up until you got to the SM pier, then you suddenly ran into heavy winds. Bizarre. Anyway, as I had flatted already for my second Sunday ride in a row, the police were blocking off roads, and the suddenly breezy air smelled of burning wood, I decided that the cycling gods were trying to tell me something, so headed for home prematurely. Did some intervals around the airport to make up for the lost mileage. I forgot to check the overall mileage, but probably around 35 miles.

Retraced part of last Sunday's Hilly Hundred route as I rode home from Bloomington, IN after breakfast and shopping in B-town with the wife. Bright, sunny day although a tad windy, but the wind mostly pushed me toward home so it was welcome. Trees are beginning to turn in southern Indiana but they're not at peak just yet; still some beautiful colors along Old 37. Went north through Paragon and discovered a new (to me) and very steep hill on Letterman Road between Paragon and Lewisville--loads of fun! Once I got to Eminence I was back in familiar territory and the rest of the way home was pleasantly uneventful--all in all, a very relaxing 68.5 mile ride at an average speed of 19.7 mph. One of my ten-best rides of all time!

Manny has always had a good arm and is one of the leaders in outfield assists. he's got that big ass backboard dialed and you gotta figure snagging a wall ball then throwing someone out doesn't involve alot of running so he's a fan

Tour de Bronx for me, with the ride up from Brooklyn, to bring it up to 60 miles. I took the subway home as I was done once I sat at the end. I could have rode home faster. I didn't realize how slow it was up in the Bronx. A 75-80 mile day would've been pretty good.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day, 75 degrees and sunny in late October. Tomorrow they say 80, but I'll be stuck in the office. Damn.

did a 40 mile loop out to the horse farms, golden foliage and rolling hills of Concord, MA came back and did a little 12 miler into Cambridge and home with my wife and now the Red Sox just won the playoffs!

I went 37 miles of a planned 46 mile ride. Got a flat and it got dark so I called the girlfriend and got a ride home (you don't want to be riding at night where I ride even WITH lights!). I averaged 19.8 mph my first 15miles out, and ended up at 18.03 mph average for the day. Pretty stiff southerly wind and over 1000 feet of climbing.

Bonked somewhere between Lincoln and Lexington, MA because my friend and I got cocky and thought that we could do 60 miles on just water, a pulled pork sandwich and a bag of chips. But, hey, we got these bags of apples ... didn't do much for the electrolyte deficit, though.
Staggered home still feeling a little wobbly and was devouring some toast with heavily salted butter when my girlfriend arrived with dinner and was all, "hey, I want to go clubbing tonight." Briefly thought about wimping out and taking the car, but the nightclub's on the back end of Fenway Park and it's Game 6 of the ALCS ...
So, yeah, dinner, get dressed, then back on the bike. 5 miles and chained up in front of the club, then laughed at friends paying $35 to park their car nearby. 5 miles home at 2 in the morning then shared bubble bath with some Lush bath bomb that's supposed to be good for sore muscles, and collapse into bed. Wake up to the smell of an apple pie being baked.
Life is so hard, sometimes.

Either one of those was basically what I told myself in order to make it through that first leg yesterday -- sounds a lot like what you were thinking yesterday, too, Blond. Whatever, I was riding into a 25mph headwind
It was a 75 mile ride. I hit a dog about 7 miles into the ride. I didn't go down but nearly wet myself. Later on I injured my left leg on a climbing sprint so rode the last 10 miles doing about 80% of the work with my right leg. It was a pretty decent ride
