Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wouldnt have a clue. He is a mate. Hence we barely know each other and spend most of our time trading insults and talking complete crap.

Vinnicombe's Duegis @ the 1990 Comm Games in Auckland. I though they were the coolest things I'd ever seen.

Alloy bullhorns, cloth tape with a cinelli 1-A stem for the 1000m TT....how times have changed!

he was one of the reasons I got inot cycling. I didn't like doing leg weights, so I thought if I just did some sprints and kilos around the Carnegie Velodrome, I'd have massive legs like him

He turned up and raced one of our road club races in 84 or 85 or thereabouts. Was porking some sheila up at Mirboo Nth or something. Always a pantsman. Next thing he's getting world champ medals all over the place. Some of his times are still respectable.

BTW, those Duegis were gay.

You idiot. I've known Gary my whole life. Try and pick someone whose parents didn't live three doors down from the house I grew up in next time.

Bloody hell. They weren't even real teams. They were composite teams put together for the Sun Tour only. I'll guess whoever Neil Stephens rode for.

No root is worth that.

Nah, they moved to Sale. Or one of them did anyway. Got some staples in her face and goes and gets her photo in No Idea when she needs money for dope or something. Moe has been heaps quieter since.

Was nearly Aussie RR champ one year....but the kilometre kite was about 1800m from the line. Could ride a decent race.

snuck onto his wheel on Whitehorse Rd once in about 1989 and we had a bit of a chat. Magnificent physique up close....legs only bettered by Kenrick Tucker and Mike Malchow.

Bylynda? Bilynda? Bogan-da? Something like that.

The house that Domacevicz owned where it all happened had a child care centre built next door about 6 years ago. Believe it or not!
