STFU you boofheads. Talk about blown out of all proportion. Herb Elliott and Ron Barassi FFS. Two of the most ruthless competitors of all time. Barassis behaviour as a coach was renowned for being over the top and no way would it be condoned in this day and age, while Elliott was ruthless on the track and ruthless in business - although he is a contenter for GOAT Aussie sportsperson IMO. |
Our cricketers are a bunch of dumb farkin bogans, except for MacGill. :p

They sh1t me Yeah, MacGill is a pretentious wan ker instead. Generally I hate cricketers. They are overpaid and have over-inflated opinions of themselves and the amount of trees killed to write about these morons is a disgrace. I know a bloke who worked for (insert name of well known sports agent) and he reckoned most of the cricketers were tossers and full of themselves. The crowd figures for anything other than international cricket are rubbish and I reckon the ACB tell absolute porkies about the gate figures for state games. They say, 'oh, 3000 people were at the WACA to watch Tassie vs WA' and they show the highlights and all you can hear are three ppl clapping and theres no farker there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Ponting was a complete clown. Always was. He had his brown hole licked out from about the age of 8 by every member of the cricket establishment. The only reason he changed was because he got a full time root. He mellowed out to please the missus. He hasnt changed though.
I'd sack him just to see how he responds. Hand the job to Hussey who is the true custodian of the game (in the Australian context). Good coaches continue to challenge athletes. Sometimes that involves taking away things that were taken for granted. They either come back stronger or they fall away. That is sport. |

Good. Piss off. Take up lawn bowls. You would make a good duo.
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...x/yesno0ra.gif Nope, too many drug cheats in lawn bowls. Have you seen all the medications some of them old fart lawnbowlers are on. Enough to kill a friggin rhino. |
Fark, I know nothing, honestly nothing about footy and cricket.
I am a wog and swear constantly in real life, should help me in this thread. Sorry if I offend anyone, but I am glad C Evans is not in the national rr, he looks terrible enough on the bike without the ugly national jersey on as it is. |
Yeah. They went from having one of the best looking national champs jerseys to the fugliest by the simple means of adding retina burning yellow sleeves. WTF is that all about?
Plus the one they give them on the podium looks like it is made from the same material trackies from Dimmies are made from. What ever happened to the days when championship jerseys were made from silk? Still, its better looking than the old bottle green striped monstrosity the pros used to get up until about 1992. |

I'm gunna pull 1 more week, then I'm sitting back & give it a shot:p Maybe road races would be better for you, with a few hills. That's what I'm pinning my pathetic hopes on. :p |

Well the sport is in crisis. The nationals are being held in the sticks again. No money is being made by the national federation.
I feel like writing a massive diatribe on how I think I can fix things but lets face it no one cares. I'm not really part of the 'cycling family' anyway. I'm not 'traditional' enough. Doesn't stop me from being ashamed of its state of affairs though. |
I just looked at cycling news
Adam Hansen won the TT. Shaun Higgerson was DNS. He was riding here on the weekend in aussie national kit (not the sa ais skippy kit) I wondered what he was doing? |
Hanson posts on the Weight Weenies forum as 'Zakeen'. He said on there a while ago that he's been using long cranks

They sh1t me I've met Ponting a number of times through work. Yes, he's an arrogant knob head prima donna. Gilchrist is an honest nice bloke with a great attitude. No pretentiousness at all. |

Doesn't stop me from being ashamed of its state of affairs though. It's not about tradition. It's about being realistic. Ballarat is the best deal they can get. Dunno how much Caribou and CA are making but they won't be losing dough on it. Did you go and watch the Commonwealth Games road race? 1km from the Melbourne CBD, beautiful day, nice spectator friendly course, exciting race and the crowd would have been lucky to have been 10,000 IMO. The sport just doesn't have the attraction for the punters. The TDU is the only race in the country that truly generates huge crowds. If you reckon you've got some ideas let CA know. |

Gee whiz.
"Ya know what, challenge me! Please, challenge me to go out and just in spite of you bailing, I'll make a better wheel, a cooler wheel, a more dynamic wheel, a lighter and faster wheel - thanks very much for inspiring me!" he said. "I'll send [Steve Hed] a thank you note!" |
