Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

i raced again at Sandown. Seemed a bit easier this week -- maybe I'm getting my 'racing' legs.

I was in a break of 6 which ended up staying away 'til the end, but I pulled out on the last lap coz
my back was killing me. I was farked anyway, so I would've probably been last out of the other 'breakers'.

Once again, the race was meant to go for 55 mins plus one lap, but we didn't get the bell 'til
about the 64 min mark! Boo!

good on you.

Classic1 wont hold any of that against you, we can't all be wogs. Who would we sell our food and coffee too?

I raced track again tonight, still buzzing. I need to change the chainwheel one day and go up from the 86 inch gear.

Last time I rode the track I got dizzy. Like car/motion sickness. Weird.

What is wrong with your back Bartos?

Relax a bit. You're probably tense riding on the banks. Go with the flow. You will feel the G force on a 250m track but you shouldn't be getting giddy. FWIW 6 day riders sometimes get dizzy/motion sickness but they are riding on tracks shorter than 200m.

supposed to be sacroiliac compression, or basically a stuffed sacroiliac joint, which, if you don't know is the joint right at the bottom, joining tot he pelvis

Sometimes when I ride flat out for more than about 45mins, it starts to hurt pretty bad, then it feels like the muscles around it tighten up and add to the pain.

I must admit I've been slack with my stretching

Yeah I may have been a little uptight. I started out by watching the ground about 1-2m in front of me. But once I lifted my head more and looked further into the track ahead I didnt get so dizzy.

After about 30mins I was doing full on sprints out of the saddle around the banks at Disc which was a ton of fun. I thought I was a bit of a hero lol

If there were other people on the track I would of completely sh^t myself though!

Go to bikesportz in Mordialloc (even though they're a whoesaler not retail blah blah) and see if you can bargain them into selling you the reynolds wheels that have on their display.. could be worth a shot..

True. One of my very best mates is 'lankan'. But grew up in Darwin. When I first met him all I knew was he was from 'up north'. First thing I said was 'so you're an abo huh?'

Whoops.

He pissed himself laughing and we got on great since.

Revenge of the COREY

Markson is a cheap ****. 20% is below industry standard for helping to derail a teenagers life. I knew there was a good opportunity to 'take him under my wing' but I refused to take less than 25% citing that corey would be likely to renege on contractual obligations.

The first sign of a 22yo showing a pair of high class, pierced, DD funbags in a club and his head is going to explode.

is she? Might've have been another one -- miss Bossy Boots.

She told me off for ringing them coz I'm not a dealer, but when I asked why they put a toll free number in a 'punter's' magazine (that big ad they had in Ride last year or the year before with mostly Campag stuff in it), she couldn't give me an answer

maybe call greg at TWE? he can get pretty much any rim you want and he'll build it with your hubs too.

There are heaps of them getting around now in Sydney. Pretty much the whole nswis team use them.

I'm just over 100kg and been riding the same set of wheels for about 2 years, still haven't touched them. Same thing with my mountain bike ones.
