Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Someone tell them to start a black/white RS2 group buy. I can't buy a frame from them when I know there is a chance I can get it on a group buy...so I wait.

I saw the black/white frame at my LBS (where it was delivered). Looks so much better in person...the lettering on the chainstay is odd, but otherwise it's a drool machine. I like it a lot better than the naked one I had/crashed/have.

I'm not sure they would be though. It's a ton of work for them for less money.

My bike is on page #99- thats my frame posted by my friend Lazyrider. I was part of the group buy. PF emailed me and told me they were low on inventory for the nude frame and they asked if I'd like the red/blk or their NEW scheme blk/white. They sent me a pic and I jumped on it! I love my ride. Buying this frame was the best thing I ever did. I'm now sold on SRAM Red too.

Changed the saddle on my 55cm last night to a Toupe and re-weighed it at pretty much dead on 16lbs. Not bad as it wasn't built as a weenie bike.

I may be buying a CAAD9 this season, so that would mean i'd have an RS2 frame sitting around

Looks intriguing. I might be up for this group buy. Can someone answer my question, though: what does the new BB30 bottom bracket mean in terms of me using my SRAM force crank? And: does an asymmetric head tube mean that I would need a special fork? Thanks.

Can't use the Force crank. It requires a BB30 specific BB...which by the way, is available in Sram RED (along with a special crankset). And yes, you would require a fork with the oversize fork crown, which I imagine should be available from PF as part of the group buy.

you can use the force crank, you just need an adapter to do it...
umd has been running a standard crank in a bb30 frame for some time, I believe.

What happened to the group buy frame with the integrated seatpost? I really like the black/white QS3 frame although I'd prefer 3K weave. I just do not need another frame though, especially one that requires a new fork/crankset.

I completed my build last month. This was a group buy (top level groupset and RS2 frame). I think Pedal Force only sold 20 with this configuration. I paid $2,400 for the frame, fork, saddle, seat post, headset, cables, and complete Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 groupset. Completed bike cost me $3,500 give or take a few bucks. Here's a completed pic:

I'll post more pics and more info in a separate thread.
