The theory is sound, take an in depth class on vibrations sometime. It's called a vibration absorber and they do work, just only in the right conditions. I've seen aluminum handlebars on mountain bikes that they do quite a bit on, and road bikes where they do nothing. On the other hand, I do like the color.
