Marketing Gimmicks - List em.
 

I was thinking about the "zertz" inserts on my Specialized hyrbid seat stays- this is a gimmick right (I bought the bike before I knew anything at all re bikes).

In any event, I'd like to hear what perceived gimmicks exist or that you have purchased.

Zertz instantly popped into my head. Carbon chainstays are my 2nd choice.

i should have been more specific-- i meant winter gloves specifically made for cycling.

agreed, although, I'm ok with slapping if the frame is only available through the one brand and made specially for them.

Wrapping carbon fiber over an aluminum stem and then selling it for $200

Drop a bar with out the buzz kills and drop a bar with buzz kills, may just be a nifty trick but the results will probably suprise you.

How do you know that the ride quality is due to the zertz, rather than any other aspect of the bike design?
