Environment Canada Warning

Toronto is more ethnically diverse than Montreal, so there's a greater selection of great food. Montreal's okay cuisine-wise, you can get a nice steak anywhere, but on the whole it doesn't hold a candle to Toronto.
Perhaps back in the 1950s Montreal was a cosmopolitan paradise in comparison to staid "Toronto the Good," but those days are long gone.
P.S. Is there an Environment Canada Warning for a looming war of words over the respective charms of Toronto vs Montreal?

I lived in Old Montreal from late '93 until late '94, and go back frequently. I have lived in Vancouver, Ottawa, Whistler and Toronto (20yrs off and on in the Big Smoke). The food in Montreal was always fantastic, and cheap. As well, dinner is a social event in Montreal, and so the waiters don't try to hand you several courses at once like they do in Toronto, and they leave you alone, but keep a close watch on you in case you need anything. I have been kicked out of upscale Toronto restaurants because they had booked my table for another party for a time when I was still contemplating dessert. That doesn't happen in Montreal.
Edit: I also never bought a bad cup of coffee in Montreal, even in the greasiest of spoons. No Starbucks crap there.

The food is very good and chep:
- low fat because of rice based meals, with chicken or pork "Chao man Gai Tot"
- also more calloryies with noodles like "Pat Thai"
al to get arround outide big towns for 20-30 Baht (40-60 EuroCent)
Easy to get you just ride your tour about 150 km and all at least 5-10 km you find a smal restaurant you can eat. Also water (5 Baht), some snak/sweets (5-10 Baht) and bananas (best for cycling, the bunch with 15 pice for 20 Baht) always availible.
Not to forget Hotels or Guesthouse from 250 Baht up to 3000 Baht is ok,
and during the winter from November to March no rain and temperatures from 15-30 degrees C.
I cycle here at Bamboo-Lake-Village and just took Part sucessfull "Tour of EGAT 2008", a 4 Day Race here arround angkok.

We like Windsor. We used to go there often because it was clean, liberal, the people were nice and it has great restaurants.
