Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Levi, for the love of God, stop it!

enough with the backwards baseball caps already...

floyd looked pretty stupid when he did it, but floyd is floyd, and that's one thing he could get away with.

vandevelde doesn't look much better, but the argyle helped.

you, on the other hand, look like a doofus. we all know what you're hiding behind that backwards baseball hat.

discuss.

Living here in NC, I see this crap all the freaking time. White boys trying to look cool.
"Yo, look at me. I'm hardcore coz my hat's all backwards n' ****."

I like rednecks and I like Urban street thugs. But there's nothing worse when the two meld into some confused, trailer trash, white punk driving his pickup blaring Eminem. Or whatever that rappers name is.

You don't think it makes him look 10 years younger? Maybe Cavendish in the news has got Levi feeling old?

It wouldn't be so bad if it were not the giant duck-bill hat that is 3x the size of his head. We bald guys need some kind of sun protection on the old noggin, but come on - at least make it a fitted cap..

Looks like a few people woke up on the judgemental side of the bed this morning.

I'm thinking seppomaddness has hacked botto's account.

Who really cares? This is like arguing over white vs black socks. It's kinda stupid.

Don't wear baseball caps, but I actually do flip my cycling cap backwards—whenever I get behind the lens.

How do you reckon he'd perform on a bike? Obviously a pretty fit guy, kinda heavy probably (no offence, sir) but plenty of power and aggression for the hills...

They should try that and call the subsequent reality TV programme "Pimp my Crit" or something.

Just a thought.

I swear (and yes, I'm being all judgmentally) when I see some young guy wearing a British Flat Cap I want to punch him in his, trying to be retro-hip, book bag carrying, conspiracy driven, coffee house chatting, college prankster face.

Oh, I know your reasons. I've come to expect it. I mean, you've got an image to uphold.

And yes, Levi is way too easy.

i always thought the backwards hat had to do with either: 1. hiding a non-sponsor company logo or 2. trying to be half-heartedly polite at a press conference and not covering ones face with a brim (your mom always told not to where a hat at the dinner table, right?).
