Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

To debadge or not to debadge?

I just got my Zipp 404's, and I think they would look alot better without those big red stickers. What's your opinion on naked carbon wheels? Plus, does removing the stickers affect Zipp's warranty?

Personally I'd leave them on. No idea about warranty issues with Zipp but I prefer the look. It's an individual thing though - naked carbon does look good too, for sure.

It shouldn't... unless the zipp decals are a structural element.

I hate those huge "LOOK AT ME, I MEAN REALLY REALLY LOOK AT ME" stickers. Combine them on a bike frame and wheels, and the bike just looks silly - to me. I wish they made more discrete / smaller size stickers so you could have some ID on your wheels, but without the nascar type advertising.

I actually like the look of the stickers.....I kinda hate the look of plain carbon wheels for some reason. Not sure why. I also hate the look of bikes with no stickers or anything too....

If any advertisement on any item I purchase comes off easily, it is removed.

Therefore, my suggestion is clear.

Swagtastic? Too funny! That's a new word that must be added to the Oxford English Dictionary.

one negative of removing the stickers could be resale value.

just in case you're trying to correct my grammar, don't bother, the plural form changes the spelling... i think BF subscribers should get a coloring book mailed to them with cycling pictures in it so they could make certain all important decisions on their own.

Looks good with the naked frame. Take off the fork and stem logos and you have a badass Road Warrior.
