Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yup, looks like the Deda Newton Deep is the only way to go.

Can I use a 31.7 bar in a 31.8 stem??
Deda Belgian Deep Drops are the handlebars of Gods.

31.7mm = rounded down from 31.75mm.

31.8mm = rounded up from 31.75mm.

They are the same thing.

Thanks, I did a search and found several threads arguing between "they are the same", and "they are not the same number, you would be crazy to miss-match in this critical area..."!

I like the first argument! That tiny .1mm can be compensated for by tightening the bolts a tiny bit more, if there is a difference at all.

the 31.75mm standard makes more sense when you realize it's 1-1/4".
bars/stems listed as 31.7mm or 31.8mm are the exact same size. like bt said, some manufacturers round down, some round up.

why few bother listing them as 31.75mm is beyond me.
