Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Voler Bibs

So after riding on the lovely roads around here in standard shorts, I've decided to buy some bibs. I was looking into the Hammer Nutrition bibs, but as I'm about 6'2'',165lbs, I would need a large which are so conveniently back ordered. D8 The same is true of the Performance ones.
However, I found some bibs on velowear for about 10$ more, and was wondering if those would be worthwhile. https://www.velowear.com/products/1110413PRTXSM.aspx

Bikes: A few.

Voler makes the Hammer bibs, which bang-forbuck, are about the best thing going. Not sure of the bib model, but it uses their Ion SL chamois. Very worthwhile IMHO.

I have those bibs, they're ok but the chamois is a little on the skimpy side.

I'd hold out for the Hammer.

The Hammer ones use IonSL or whatever. However, as Hammer never seems to have Large in stock, I'll just order these ones. When they do get the L back in, I'll probably order some of those as well.
