Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Paint Chips

Yes I've used the search function. I found the most cogent solution to paint chips to be the following: sand down the area with 300-odd grit. Clean and fill with bondo. Sand down with 400-odd grit. Paint. Cover with clear coat.

Just covering with nail polish is not an option as I want to sell this bike with full integrity.

Before I go about the bondo process though I just wanted to solicit some other opinions -- see what others think about the process, and if there are some simpler solutions.

bikes are meant to be ridden which means their paint will chip in places. Deal with it, a paint chip does not hurt the integrity of the bike.

#1. Paint match in other threads gave all kinds of suggestions from hobby stores to Canadian Tire to actual hardware/paint stores. Some guy even suggested there are "pens" which could serve my purpose.

#2. My experience is that paint chips (while they do not bother me) bug the friggin' heck out of some people to the point where even if they're photographed, the other party will threaten opening an ebay dispute. but, no, I do agree with you and your attitude and mine are fully in cohesion.
