Cleave - Thanks. :) That was right after the build and I was still tweaking the fit. I did rotate the bars up a tad.

I thought I posted this bike in the thread but did a quick search and didn't see it. If it is a repeat I apologize. This came up in a BD thread thought it'd be fun to show what you can do with a BD bike. Note the cranks. :)

Very nicely done! You have a very nice bike. Thanks for sharing. BTW, there is nothing wrong with BD bikes.

The bike is for his Wife. Most women don't like to position themselves as low as men. Give her time to build a racing position if that is the way she chooses to go.

Holy crap you actually had your spokes powder coated red?

So bizzare to do that to a set of Aksiums but props for following through

Juan Torres 12-13-10 04:24 PM

Yes i did and let me tell you IT SUCKED! The powder was acatone based and "brushed on" then baked at 325 for 5 min.I chose P/C because it is felxable and very hard to chip.it will get me by till i get the SL's..

When I got home I thought the frame was a bit too large for her, but she seemed comfortable on it, and rode 2k miles her first year which I thought was pretty good. We did some tweaks but are going to get a pro fit done next month. Hopefully they will be able to dial it in better. I just hope he doesn't recommend a smaller frame!

If she´s happy thats way to do it!:thumb: As stated; hot bike!
