It's mos def different in a good way!
I'm wondering how that frame is a Giant?!?
(Fan of Giant)
It's also funny you mention Boardman..
I bumped into a guy riding a sweet looking CF road bike, something I've never seen before, so I ask where that bike was from.
He was an English guy, said it was a Boardman, & was probably one of the only one in town.
Is was a sharp looking bike!

Jerry always rode for Hodaka and stays connected with Hodaka who helped him start his brand which also made motorcycle's in the 70's, now Giant owns half of Hodaka which makes all the alloy frames for Giant, the Giant factory is dedicated to making carbon frames and we all know Giant makes frames for lots of brands including JBC which are very popular in Asia. My JBC frame is very good quality looking and weighs 1020grams not like those chinese no name frames on flebay.
Boardman bikes are awesome and can now be bought through Wiggle online, they use to only be available in the UK.

Debadging the rims would go a long towards making it less busy. Black chainrings and solid cages wouldn't hurt either. With these tweaks, the colored tires may not be overkill.

older frames are nice, but old group sets (IMO) are not.
to me, rocking a 20+ year old group is like carrying around a walkman.
the cable routing/function was limited to the technology at the time. I don't see beauty in brake cables coming out of the top of the levers, i see old tech.
I humbly submit that old frames should be build with new, cleaner, better-functioning groups.

It will be a cold day in hell before I even think of replacing the Weber carbs on one of my old Porsches with a more efficient and more reliable fuel injection setup.
