Nice ride.

I'm not crazy about the paint anymore, but it was cool when it was new(I had a Klein Adriot with the yellow/green fade back in the 90's).

here's my new ride...

Yup. Nice ride.

And I still dig the paint.

DAYUM. The only thing that could make that bike hotter is a white Arione w/ matching blue stripe and some carbon rims. I am not one to usually say this but I wonder if some king ti cages would go well with the frame's mock "retro" look?

Blacklab78 04-13-09 04:57 AM

Thanks guys,

I've actually already changed the cages to King ti's - and custom finished em to match the chainrings, also changed the stem to a Deda Zero 100sc and the post to a Record one. I'm also going to change the bars to Deda Presa's in a month or so. I don't like the bend of the Supernaturals much.

The Prologo Scratch Nack seat is the best money I have ever spent on a saddle - By Far! Arione's just don't suit me.

I'll try and take a pic with my lightweights and get it up soon!

Flame away; anything you say about my bikes can't be as bad as what should be said about the rider:o

better shot of the Orbea, as it came to me (loved the look of the Orange Flite, but my butt did not agree)

Here's my new, but recently totalled '09 RS2.

http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...er2/AA6080.jpg

I took the Dura-Ace 7900 groupset off as well as the fork and had it installed on my old 2008 RS2. Still waiting on my replacement Dura-Ace 7850 carbon clincher wheelset.

I find the following hot:

By the way, the Orbea in the picture above is what I find hot. Not the same for the Trek. There is something about Trek bikes that does not ring my bell at all. I have owned a Trek before by the way.

Soloists are hot, but I don't like that paintjob at all.

orcanova 04-15-09 06:20 AM

Nice! Classic old school TT: steel, down tube shifters, 26 inch wheel, quill stem, vintage Campy Record, although the aero bar looks newer. And as soon as I think of how fugly some of the old paint jobs are, all I have to do is look at some of today's bikes, which will look "Oh so dated" one day. How's it ride?

Did you just acquire that? I can see the original owner was into triathlons in the late 80's early 90's. Wonder what kind of shape he is in now? Probably got a couple teenage kids now and a bit heavier in the gut. What's the story behind it?

I actually love that paint job & never could figure out why they changed to the gray.

SushiJoe 04-15-09 07:26 AM

Not mine. I want his paint job for mine though.

If you look close it's actually a Cento (non-Uno). He had his 08 frame shipped back to Wilier for the updated paint scheme. Either way; Cento or Cento Uno = HAWT!!

sheddle 04-15-09 08:06 AM

Among others, I've got a Wilier Izoard on my list of options for my next bike. They have some of the best paint jobs out there, along with BMC.

Heh, go easy on me guys, I just got into the sport, so I don't have sexy CF bikes like you guys. xD

My bike, a 2008 Raleigh Sport. Pretty much all stock parts, except for the tires. In the pic, they're Vredestein Fortezza SE's but I just had them replaced for yellow Continental GP 4000's.
